Botbuilder Robotics
A range of easy DIY Arduino based robotic kits.

From a very early age, I have been interested in electronics and robotics. In primary school I was playing with lights and batteries! My first robot was created out of a cereal packet, tin foil and toilet roll tubes - but his eyes lit up!
In my later years I applied my skills to create some cheap modular DIY robot chassis and arms that are compatible with the popular Arduino platform. The BotBuilder range consisted of 4 main products. 2 robot chassis, 1 6 DOF robot arm, and a serial Arduino based 12 servo controller with motion record and playback. All products were designed and produced by myself (laser cutter), with the exception of professional PCB manufacture. This page shows a brief selection of the design process and final results. There were many prototypes and product iterations along the product life cycle.

Kit 6 DOF robot arm, that is controlled using innovative Inverse Kinematic software.

Software for the serial servo board was coded in Visual Basic to communicate over serial to the board.
