SmartScope

A simple but powerful science product.

Smartscope was conceived to enable the new generation of smartphone savvy children to engage with real science.

By using the camera already on their device, SmartScope was invented to harness this digital power, and enable it to be used for high resolution magnification with photo and video capability - upto 300x.

This creates a social experience, that conventional hobby microscopes can't achieve. Very low cost as the construction is all plastic.

As part of the concept invention, a working prototype was created. Constructed from laser cut MDF, with final finishing, paint and CNC cut stickers. A simple PCB was created for the electronic light and switch circuit to fully demonstrate the products unique features.
