Giant Fortune cats

For this project I designed the mechanism to wave the giant polystyrene arms via remote control. Standard radio control gear was chosen, mainly because the event was in an area where licensing custom RF would be not possible. It also adds a layer of tried and tested reliability, and easy to get parts. The waving mechanism was based on a car windscreen wiper motor. These are high torque and already have engineered parts. It was simply a matter of making a frame and connecting it all up. They debuted at the Brighton White Night & Brighton Japan Festival.
