Saturn - Imaged with a Meade LX200ACT 10" and a webcam.
I have been interested in astrophotography, since the age of 13. I used to pop out into the garden with my Tasco 60mm scope and spy on the wonders in the night sky. Now I am a little older, the bigger scopes let me look just a bit further! Many of these images are taken with a low tech webcam. It is the simplest way of getting long exposure images, without having to spend a fortune on dedicated CCD cameras. A video is shot at prime focus (no eyepiece), and then each frame of the video is stacked using registration points. This then give a decent non blurry long exposure.
