As the kiddies get older and more capable, what better way for them to burn off some energy & gain motor control? A climbing frame.
This is where things get a bit tricky. Our current back garden is limited in space, as we are on a corner plot. It is pretty big out the front, but the back is angled and not square.
Design to the rescue
I like to plan projects to eliminate any issues early on. A solid brief gets a solid result. Originally I measured and drew up a quick 3D design to see how things could work out. Then armed with a chop saw, loads of old decking and a few screws - the build started.

Clearing the old conservatory base piles.

The final build.

Climbing wall.

Little house with laser etched signs.

Laser cut & etched pirate flag.

Main deck.

Storage area under deck.

Slide.
Ground works
After the main build was completed I moved onto the ground works. Luckily someone locally had a metric tonne of spare top soil from a garden project. Many car trips were used to move it all back to our garden.

Spreading the top soil.

Turf laid - beautiful!
A bonus mud kitchen
With some timber left over, a quick mud kitchen was created.

Let's get cooking!
