Final unit.
It is true, I have a total weakness for arcade machines - & there will be many of them on here, maybe it is because I am a child of the 1980's. This is one of the reasons I created the arcadie product. Now that you can literally have computing power in something the size of a credit card, a mini arcade machine was achievable. This unit is based on a Raspberry PI 3, running a selection of arcade and console emulators. It has custom power supplies, controls to USB interface and a 4:3 aspect ratio LCD monitor.
Construction & Design.
This idea started out being fabricated in laser cut MDF. The CAD was based around the common components, such as the LCD monitor and controls. The final unit is clad is styrene sheet so it can be decorated.
